If you see one show this year, make it "Last Cab to Darwin". Written by local playwright Reg Cribb, this play recently won the Patrick White award.

Go see this show. To see the sheer brilliance of performances by Barry Otto, Justine Saunders and Jackie Weaver. The ensemble cast are as equally amazing.

To see this, is baring witness to a future Australian classic.

I cannot praise this show enough, and it is most certainly play of the year (to date at least).

It is long (almost 3 hours) but so was Lord of the Rings and this has an interval.

I am not going to go through the nitty gritty, but I loved the set, the imagery, the soundscape, the performances, just everything.

Just see it. Octagon Theatre to April 17 before it transfers to the Sydney Opera House.

Hello....
Last cab to Darwin was the best onstage performance(play) that i have seen, it was mostly realistic. it had character like they werent even on a stage.
The swearing yes it had a fair bit in but it was awesome to see true colours coming out of the characters, also how the man was laying down so still was amazing because he was there for at least 20minutes. I cant even think of what more to say just that it was an amazing performance & i would love to watch it again & to meet all the actors/actresses.
Thank you
bye bye Tegan x0x0x0x0
