Have none of the regular reviewers seen it yet?

This semi-regular reviewer was still waiting patiently for the comps to arrive. After all, my first night review of Frankenstein last year apparently sent the box office through the roof! Future producers please take note.

Anyway, after reading JB's fantastic review of this production, I dragged myself off to see the extra performance last Wednesday night.

I must admit I had the film version fairly deeply etched in my recollection, as it seems did more than one member of the cast. I hasten to add that Tom Rees' Frank was nothing like Leo McKern's, but still well-developed, albeit a little too gentlemanly for an old red-ragger.

Sarah Richards made quite a meal out of her role as the feisty daughter Helen. She had me convinced she was handling a real baby at one point (must be a Stanislavskian) until she handed it back to the mother who handled it like a doll in a blanket (must be a Brechtian).

Well done everyone. Hope you have full houses for the last 2 nights!
