A Clarification

Walter Plinge1 post in thread
It has come to my attention that certain of my comments during the on-going (now mercifully dead) Frankenstein debate, may have been misconstrued as specific attacks against the entity known as Vagabond Theatre.

Vagabond Theatre is, in essence, two individuals: Jo Marsh and Patrick Spicer.

My intention is not, and never has been, to impugn Vagabond Theatre, or its abovementioned management. If, through a poor choice of words on my part, I have given that impression, it was by mistake and not by conscious choice. If either Jo or Patrick have taken offence at any comments of this nature, I apologise unreservedly.

My intention was (and remains) to call into the question the rationale of certain individual cast members of the production of "Frankenstein", who have wilfully (it seems to me) denied the existence of some very constructive comments made by Dr Gibbs in his review, and, by extension, questioned the credibility of Dr Gibbs as a professional arts commentator.

It was specific cast members, who (unlike Jo and Patrick) have shown very little restraint in this debate, who have "thrown a hissy fit", _not_ Vagabond Theatre.

I do not wish this post to be seen as a withdrawal from my original stance, by which I stand; merely a clarification of those to whom it was targeted.

sincerely,
David Meadows.
