Dear Kads,
On Friday 19th July I along with my wife and two friends attended the opening night of "Love Letters".
What a fabulous production, anybody who misses this production will have sadly missed a great experience.
I would like to congratulate Joy for her fantastic direction, Shirley and Michael for being the great actors that they are, along with the back stage crew, lighting, and everybody involved in the production.
This was as always a great KADS production.

Yours Sincerely
Albert

Re: LOVE LETTERS

We too attended the opening night of Love Letters and were blown away. What a magnificient evening of entertainment. Two fantastic actors, evenly matched, brillant. The set was so excellent you wanted to walk on stage and touch everything. The foyer was a delight, so many beautiful things to catch your eye.
How two such talented actors managed to age themselves with expressions, slight changes in costume was a joy to behold. I think it was like watching masters at their craft, anyone would enjoy this play just for the sheer craft, execution and learning experience. Of course it was too well done to watch for the technical brillance you were swept away in the stories of two people whose lives touched and drifted apart and came together. Much as we share some things with friends, move away for a time, drift back again. Love letters was more than love, it was life at its lows, its highs and sometimes its mediorce betweens.
The emotions Shirley expressed were real, powerful and finely brushed, not a movement overstated, not a word neglected. Michael was very powerful, with a wealth of expression, confusion, pain, joy all flowing easily. Joy as a director sets herself such high standards and meets them so well, it was a smooth flawless piece, a very enjoyable and powerful evening of entertainment. The lighting and sound was perfect and the overhead screen fit in beautifully, complementing and extending. If it is not sold out, do try and get along and treat yourself.
