The team that brought you Spontaneous Insanity (2000); Soap on a Rope (2001) and Comedy Sportz (Fringe 2002) is back! Sam Longley's Cut Snake Comedy comprises most of the cast members of the previous two incarnations alongside some exciting new talent, and started with a bang on friday night at the Fremantle Hotel, High Street, Freo.

'The Big Hoo Haa' is set to become Perth's first regular improv comedy night since Theatre Sports ended, and from the reception received on friday night, there is little reason to doubt that Cut Snake is really on to a winner. With little advertising budget, and a wild old Easterly blowing torrents of rain down on Freo, seventy-five people braved the elements to enjoy the comedy stylings of selected members of the troupe, including Sam Longley, Glenn Hall, Claire Hooper, Maggie McPhee, Paul Calligan and Luke Hewitt. The cast will change every week - with a pool of fifteen of Perth's finest, including Gib Nolte, Mark Storen, Mike Frencham, Monica Main, Kath Burnett, Mel Cantwell, Matt Dudley, Damon Lockwood, Mark Calligan and Craig Williams, the calibre is of a level rarely seen in improv circles in Perth. Come along to the Freo Hotel, High Street, Freo, at 8pm for a 9pm start, and enjoy such wonders as watching Claire Hooper trying desperately to find another rhyme for 'Chuck'... as watching Sam Longley take on a rabid turkey and rubber chicken in a a fighting death match... or of watching Glenn Hall invent suggestive 'Wheel of Fortune' slogans while talking to himself...

Only at the Big... HOO HAA!
