out of order

The Old Mill Theatre were taking a risk putting on a Ray Cooney farce, as it is essential to have the whole cast in sync, tuned in and remaining in character. Always a difficult genre to deal with otherwise it can look extremely hammy. Their version, thanks to Susan Lynch's direction and some very good efforts by the main cast memenbers managed to carry the show off.

The acting critics may like to have a dig at various performances, but the public in the interval and after show were glowing and saying how funny it was. After all it is the audience that counts!

The script was funny with quite a few surprises, even for the regular farce goers. In fact the 'pants off' and 'doors opening' sequences worked better than those shown in the advert for the professional show coming to Perth soon.

Rob Vincent's superb (and well lit) set, got a hammering by the perfornmers, but all the effects and disaters went off to the split second.

Well done to all concerned.

May the farce be with you!

Performances of "Out of Order" at the Old Mill Theatre have proved to be so popular that we have now scheduled two extra shows.
Friday & saturday June 14/15th at 8 pm.

Please justify our optimism and come and see the funniest show in Perth. (and all at much less cost than the forthcoming one at His Majestys!)
Tickets $12/$10, 8 pm Bookings: 9367.8719
