Taking Sides
Sat, 30 Mar 2002, 08:22 pmWhat: Taking Sides
Where: Old Mill Theatre, South Perth
When: March 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 30 April 04, 05, 06
Who: Written by: Ronald Harwood, directed by Lindsay Sedgwick
Some plays you see and enjoy and forget as you leave the theatre - this play follows you home. A week later we were still debating it over breakfast.
After hearing George Bush saying in one of his many speeches on the war against terrorism , "You are either with us or against us", you realize that this play is just as relevant today as in Berlin at the end of World War II. The questions this play asks will be relevant throughout time.
I thought the play was well cast and the actors were brillant. The play had a few lighthearted moments which only added to the enjoyment of a very intense play.
Only 3 days left - you will be sorry if you miss this one.
