I saw MUMCO's production of "Little Shop of Horrors" last night
and I thought it was quite good. Singing was generally excellent
and most of the acting was spot on (particularly Seymour).

The main gripe I had with the show was that the plant (Audrey
II) was never loud or clear enough to get over the drums, either because the amplifier was not loud enough or not clear enough.
It was also difficult to pick out what people were saying
whenever the drums kicked in, though it was most noticeable
during Audrey II's songs. Also, it didn't help that some of the
actors were not singing to the front during these moments
because there were noticible volume drops when they were
singing to each other.

The leads were excellent. I think the best moment for me was
the rendition of "Somewhere that's Green" (I think that's the
name of the song) by Audrey. The Doo-Wop girls were done
very well, harmonies spot on and loud enough to pierce through
the sound made by the band and great dancing.

And I loved the puppetry!!
