Blue Room Season?
Sun, 1 July 2001, 12:30 pmDoes anyone know anything about the shows on at the Blue Room at the moment - 'Oblique' and 'Cryocycle'? Are they still on? I was hoping to see a review on here about one or both. Has anyone here seen them?

RE: Blue Room Season?
Sun, 1 July 2001, 04:57 pmOblique was superb and shame to all who missed it. The chance to see four actors working in the Mike Leigh character based/ improvistaional style shouldn't have been missed.
The story was based around four men, strangers, meeting at a mutual friends place for drinks. Very funny and at moments incredibly insightful. I loved it so much I saw it twice. Unfortunately it is now finished.
Luckily Two tonne budgie ( a young company who are doing consistantly excellent work. Again if you didn't see "Welcome to paradise" you missed out and unless you can get to Edinborough and see it in the festival there, bad luck) are doing another Mike Leigh method show in the Blue Room in , I think November. I doubt it will be as funny being based heroin addicts but so what, on past fporm it will be well worth seeing.
Cryocyle is still going for another two weeks but it's probably innapropriate for me to review it.
Cheers
