JCPC's- Catapult - Ellen St Theatre, May 12.
Sun, 13 May 2001, 01:26 amJust a short note to let everyone know I really enjoyed the show and it was just as bizarre and abstract as i was promised.
The opening scene worked very well, with projections playing an active role in the piece, rather than the usual "adding to the mood" etc.
The only "negative" comment I have was that a bit of split focus dance got to be a bit distracting as the audience wasnt quite sure where to look. Maybe the desired effect, in the context of the rest of the show, but with intresting dance pieces going on on either side of the stage it's hard to decide who to watch.
But as I said, an enjoyable night and a great show. It was great to see something at JC that I had absolutely nothing to do with, and with almost no idea of what the show was about.
