Gerry Atkinson's adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland", produced by Prompt Corner, was a hit with a sizable audience at the Ivy Watson Playground in King's Park. The venue was ideal for a children's show, as families could play and picnic before and after the show.

The cast of twelve generally did a good job under Gerry Atkinson's direction, especially as most of them were between 10 and 19 years old. Amongst the younger ones, Isabella Moore as Alice gave a solid performance, while, amongst the adults, Laura Hutchinson had no trouble portraying the imperious Queen of Hearts.

The costumes by Gayle Marshall were exceptional. I would have preferred a bit more in the way of stage scenery and props to create a wonderland, but I daresay there was enough to convince the children.
