Wed, 17 Jan 2001, 04:36 pmFor those of you who are old enough to remember a local boy named Dave Warner (Dave Warner and the Suburbs), you may be interested to know that he wrote a musical many years ago called "Planet Pres". It is a great little show (and even Grant agrees with me!).

Its a lot of fun to do, great characters, some wonderful songs (rock and roll as well even!)
Dave Warner still owns the rights to the show and so it is not in general publication but he is very keen for companies to have a look at it . I am directing it this year with my ex students.
It was first performed at the Playhouse many many years ago and one reviewer called it "The best Australian Rock and Roll musical"
Certainly worth a look !

When will your production be on and will it be open to the public?
Warner was well before my time (cough, splutter, ahem!) but I'm sure there are plenty of Suburban Boys out there wanting to re-discover their convict streaks.
