This very funny play is only running for two more nights so get along quickly.

Once again the Irish Theatre Players have presented a funny, good natured and slightly dark around the edges play with some lovely comic timing from Dean Shulze. His authentic sounding grasp of astronomical terms really made him sound like he knew what he was talking about (finally, eh Dean).

Some very authentic sounding Irish (and Australian) accents were on show. The actor who played "Tony Curtis" was lovely to watch, very underplayed in a character who could easily have been a charicature. He was the kind of actor you wait for to reappear on stage and then feel better when he finally arrives.

My only critisisms are that I felt sometimes light and shade were sacrificed for volume. While the spikes in the action worked well, they were too numerous, detracting from the actual climax. Also I thought that Stella's emotionally liberating outburst should have been played more drunk, giving rise to more authentic regrets the next day. I felt also that there were some down patches, but I suspect the script was proably to blame there.

All in all though an extremely enjoyable evening. As I said, hurry along.
