Ok let me first of all say that I am not exactly fond of Terry Pratchett so I was Biased against it when I arrived,
Boy was I surprised !
Well done Daniel Sloane and cast, you guys won me over.
Dan you have done an excellent job with an enormouse cast and what must have been a logistical nightmare.
Ok as usual I am going to say that although I dont want to single anyone out, I am going to anyway.
Nick was good and consistent, as one would expect. Melissa varied from lovely to gorgeous as the play progressed, I wish that she was a little louder though (I told her this last night).
Paul Treasure was magnificent, as was the young man who plays the sourcerer. I wish that I knew more names but here we go anyway. The warrior guy was pretty good also. In fact reasonably solid performances from all of the cast. Apparently there were 19 people with some taking multiple roles.
Minimal set (as you will appreciate from the huge number of scenes), good use of sound and light.
So anyway I was surprised to find myself sympathetic to to the production, characters and plot.
I would encourage everyone to be louder (except Paul) and to possibly slow down on the delivery sometimes.
Overall it was most enjoyable, You really should go and take the kids along. It is a funny engaging play that has some bloody awful puns.
Suspend your disbelief and do yourself a favour, bear in mind the logistics and you will be amazed at what Daniel and Crew have/are doing.

The only criticisms that I have to offer are as follows.
Most of the cast could help the audience by enunciating more clearly and louder. Everyone listen to Paul Treasure and benefit from his example.
A few light and sound clues seemed to be a little late/loud, but these things happen.

Go and see it, take the kids they will have a ball.
(The usual unmarked bills in a brown envelope Melissa - tks regards Gary)

RE: SOURCERY

Sincere apologies for the late lighting cues. Totally my fault.

I like to blame it on too many late nights and not enough elixir to keep me awake. The mind wanders... that and (totally unprofessionally) I start to watch as there is something different to see every night.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show though. The costumes were fabulous too, weren't they?!?!

RE: SOURCERY

I'm sure Gary meant to say that the costumes were sensational. (Although what he probably would have said was: the costeumes was sensationale, sorry Gary couldn't help myself) Seriously people you have to see the show just to see how wonderful the costumes really are. Shameless plug for the show I know, but hey it's the truth!

RE: SOURCERY

Melissa you are right
Yep don't know how I could have been so inconsiderate , the costumes are sensational !!!!
If you want to see gorgeous young people dressed in skimpy costumes then go and see Sourcery.

RE: SOURCERY

What a delightful compliment, Gary! My head has just swollen to twice it's normal size (but don't worry - you won't be able to tell from the Audience...)!

RE: SOURCERY

Sheesh !!!
And let me tell you Angela was very special also.
Spectacular !!!! almost comes close.
So, if you want to see spectacular young beauties (of both sexes) and stunning leading ladies and gentlemen, as well as finely honed senses of timing go and see this play !
My good friend Barry took his lovely daughter Amelia over the weekend to see this production, and apparently they both enjoyed it enormously.
In fact Amelia liked it so much that she asked Tim (Edwards) if she could borrow his copy (unsigned by the author) to read.
Tim said yes, so there you go.

Another unsolicited addendum to my review.
Still unbiased in spite of having stunningly lovely girls throw themselves at my virtual feet. 8)
