I finally got to see the Playlovers production last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am constantly amazed at the level of talent we have lurking in the sparsely populated suburbs of this remote part of the world. The girls were especially "beautiful". Helen, Kerry and Tracey were wonderful as always.

I make no crit of Jarrad's performance, however I would have preferred a funnier and seedier MC who could have set a brisker pace from the start. Also, lycra shorts and bondage gear seemed a little out of place for Berlin 1929, but maybe that's just me.

Well done, all.

RE: Cabaret

My companions and I thought Jarrad West's performance was one of the highlights of the production !

Well measured, extremely focused and very vibrant.

The short pants worn by the MC did not seem to be lycra...and I was seated in A6 so definately sitting closer to the MC at any given time than 'Stinger'.

I must admit though that on the journey home the historical accuracy of Jarrad's nipple ring was debated. The jury is still out.
(Accurate or otherwise a nice character touch.)

If you only go to see Jarrad's performance, you will not be disappointed. Cabaret is an absoultely top notch show and I highly recommend it.

RE: Cabaret

*cough* i LOVED the shorts and the bondage gear...altho they seemed just a little uncomfortable in some instances...*s*

my only critisism was that 3 levels of performance and only one level of seating..- i got such a crick in the neck...i was in row three and spent half the night craning my neck to see the performers - and it was freezing....and yes i had a blanket.

any chance of raked seating????

Great show guys and gals....

look out for"Cabaret" in the hills in January, 2001..
