I saw this show Tuesday 30/05/00 at Fremantle and was most impressed. It is a credit to our small suburban groups that they can mount such polished productions using the relatively small pool of talent available to them.
The cast were all obviously into their characters and I found the tension between them was well developed and convincing. If the program notes are accurate, for a relatively inexperienced actor, Mark Oltmans seemed very comfortable onstage and with his character of Gary, the "daily male".
I did feel that the issue of the age difference between the two main characters could have been dropped. It seemed to have little bearing on the plot and was not really raised until half-way through the second act, at which point I found it distracting.
My congratulations to the stage crew who handled the numerous scene changes with smooth professionalism and to the members who took care of us front-of-house.
- And to all you budding young stars out there - you could do a lot worse than to get down to Fremantle, have a look at Harbour Theatre and join up as active members.

How nice to see such a review of the production I have directed for Harbour Theatre.. I appreciated your comments particularly as we had had a disappointment on the Saturday night when due to sickness of a member of the cast we had to call off the performance, fortunately everything has now settled down and we look forward to performances such as the one last Tuesday evening.
We still some seats available. Ring Sidsel 9418 3183
Thanks Stinger. Brenda
