The Sound of Music
Wed, 4 Oct 2000, 11:38 pmI was lucky enough to be given a ticket for the first preview of the show tonight and highly recommend it to anyone who loves "The Sound of Music" or hasn't seen it on stage for a while. It was truly delightful. Great casting, lovely singing, fabulous sets and costumes and a lot of heart. You won't be disappointed. The orchestra was excellent too. Even if you've seen it before - I know TSOM is done fairly regularly - this professional production is very slick and the kids will love it. Take tissues if you cry easily like I do - or even if you don't! I suspect there were a few scenes where no eyes were dry. Previews till Saturday and then the show runs for 4 weeks at the Burswood Showroom. Bookings through BOCS.
