Mon, 25 Sept 2000, 09:55 amOk guys, tonight is your opportunity to be part of something special, something different, something Irish.
Tonight at 5:00pm at the Irish Club is the auditions for 'Stella by Starlight'.
This is not your typical Irish comedy by any means, its modern (1996), upperclass and intelligent humour.
Required are:
Stella: ABOUT 30-40 yo, everything her whole life she has done to please other people, particularly her husband.
Dermot: ABOUT 30-40 yo, Stella's husband, always about keeping up appearances, never accepts anyone elses help, one of those men that insists on fixing everything himself
Tara: ABOUT 17 yo,daughter of Stella and Dermot, bit spoilt, going off to her Highschool deb's
Geraldine & Paul: ABOUT 30-40 yo, friends of Stella and Dermot from highschool
Tommy: ABOUT 19-23 yo, not the kind of guy you want going out with your daughter, turns up in a hearse and his nickname is 'needles'
Dont let the irish accent put you off. To put it very simplistically these accents are not to be the stereotypical "to be sure to be sure" I'm working out in the feild accents, they're modern and upperclass, and you can give it a go.
This play will be directed by Noel O'Niell, a energetic, committed director who is truly an experience to work with.
So TONIGHT 5:00pm, The Irish Club, Townshed Rd Subiaco. If you cant make it at that time, please contact Noel and arrange another time.
For exact address and phone number please see the official audition notice through the auditions link on the ITA web page.
