Having just finished the short (3 night) season of Pinter sketches etc. with Playlovers I was struck by the perceived lack of attendance by club members.
I'm sure this isn't just a problem of this production or this group and I'm also sure that many had legitimate reasons (hate Pinter, no babysitters etc), but would they be in the majority?
There are many aspects to this, and I open it up to responses. My own feelings are that members should feel a sense of duty to their club and support the hard work etc. put into each production. Their punishment for non-attendance at some nominated number of productions each year should be to be forced to sit in a room listening to Andrew Lloyd-Webber music for 48 hours.

Good to see the old tall poppy syndrome is still alive and well out there in narrow-minded land. Quite ironic that the comment made about silverchair (THAT is how they have chosen to spell it - proper noun or no proper noun), was in reference to supporting people in their chosen profession or activities! Hmmmm, go figure!
