me!
Thu, 1 June 2000, 06:53 pmas much as I agree with all of the recent posts, in particular Jasons
letter, I dont really think it is appropriate to completely trash the
ignoramus, I am sure Kim will think twice before he/she sends anything else,
as to whether it may cause offence (hey, we can only hope!).
On another note, is there anyone who could possibly provide advise on how I
would get into writing for theatre? I am interested in courses, groups to
join, basically any info at all would be great. Im a young writer and want
to learn screen/play writing. I spose I could just ring around a few
colleges, but that would be too easy. Please help.
Jodie.

RE: me!
Thu, 1 June 2000, 09:27 pmHi Jodie
A few actors/writers/directors from community theatre have very recently started a small playwriting group where we get together once a month and set goals, read each other's work, discuss etc. We are planning to get up a mini festival called SHORTSTUFF which will consist of locally written short plays, monologues and films under the theme POWER later in the year - maybe a bit ambitious but we hope not! I realise this is not a course as such but thought it might supplement a course because it is really practical and it is great to have good actors read your work! The next meeting is on June 12. Please give me a ring if you're interested or email me and I'll give you more details. Would be great to hear from you.
Regards
Julia
