Hey Kim..i too am a young acting wannabe....however...i think we differ slightly -

SAME: We both left school 2 years ago
DIFFER: I have been out there trying to get experience

SAME: We are both bubbling with confidence
DIFFER: I know when to speak up and when to take a step back

SAME: We both live in WA
DIFFER: You have started out by rubbing many of the important people the wrong way (*just a little tip* people like grant malcolm and many more on this website are the BIG people in WA theatre. I know this because, even tho it has been limited, my experience has taught me this)

SAME: We both 'think' we have the looks
DIFFER: I 'know' I am just as pretty on the inside as the outside

and kim if you want to be an actress do it because you love it...not because people think you have the looks...i'm sure Barbara Streisands of the world did it because they loved it..not because they were 'goodlooking'.

But seriously though, folks... a salutary lesson was taught by the good folks at the newsgroup rec.music.opera recently:

A particularly nasty troll was flooding the NG with anti-semitic trash and other generally hateful bile. After a brief period of indignant responses from the regs, he was roundly ignored. Within two weeks, he was gone.

A lesson there, folks!

hey sky i completley agree with you, it's like when people say you look like a good dancer even if your not, i do the dancing because i love it and i meet the best and nicest people ever through it!!! the same with my acting i do it because i love it and some of my best friends i've met through it!! well catch ya
