Does anybody know -

what the difference between a 'reading' & an audition is?
if the actors in the upcoming "Cosi" production will be getting paid?

thanx a bunch.

RE: what's the diff?

If you were cast in Black Swan's "Cosi" you would be paid. The one Stirling Players are doing is an amateur production i.e. they do it for love!
I think a reading is just that - a reading of the entire play so everyone can get familiar with it before they go and actually audition.

RE: what's the diff?

Speaking of the Black Swan Theatre Company production of Cosi... Does anyone know who got in? Many people from the community theatre scene auditioned.
Cheers

RE: what's the diff?

I think at least 5 roles were pre-cast. Maybe from the production they did before? I know a lot of people who were CLOSE to getting in, but the only person that I've heard of that GOT in was Trilby Glover. I only HEARD this from someone else, mind you, so don't quote me on it!
