Cancellation of The Drunkard
Sun, 16 Apr 2000, 09:13 amUnfortunately due to not being able to find 2 main characters for this show, exhausting every avenue we know, this show has been cancelled.
I would like to thank all of the cast and crew and director all their time and efforts, dedication and enthusiasm.
If nothing else, perhaps we formed some great friendships during the rehearsal times.
Thank you all once again.

RE: Cancellation of The Drunkard
So sorry to hear of the cancellation of The Drunkard due to lack of male actors.
Why are men so so.. dubious about being on stage?
On the otherhand I was very surprised when at my auditions for Dead Guilty for Harbour Theatre recently I actually had FOUR men turn up to audition for one male part. I ACTUALLY HAD A CHOICE.... Funny thing was I only just had enough ladies (3) to fill the female roles, lost one the next day and found a replacement twenty four hours later. So you can never tell from one audition to the next.. but it does make me feel very doubtful about auditions these days.
