Correction
Tue, 28 Mar 2000, 04:28 pmOn a number of occasions I have noticed a well-known name spelt incorrectly by ITA members, who really should know better. It is that of Robert Finley.
His surname is spelt FINLEY not FINLAY.
Thank goodness he is no longer around to see how many times misspelling occurs.
This is my first time on the Gossip column, sorry its a grumble, next time I'll try to "gossip" about something nice. Hopefully, it will be to say how well my auditions went.... (29th March).

I should have corrected the spelling in my reply to Stuart's mail a while back. Unfortunately the message board software, in replying to the original message, just copies the subject line from one message to the next. A few of us, whom i am sure do know better, have ended up inadvertently reproducing the misspelling.

I never had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of the Finley Award's namesake, however, if Mr Finley were still with us, or if he is looking on now, I hope that he would be proud of what the ITA has become. I would also beg his indulgence for our human failings!

Ah! a sly plug for your auditions. Just like a veteran of the message boards.
:)
Welcome on board, Brenda!
