Sun, 27 Feb 2000, 01:39 pmI didn't realise what I'd started when , as a result of a suggestion from one club that we think of changing the format of the Finley Award evening, I (lightheartedly) asked Grant to post a poll on the subject.
to my surprise most votes so far have gone to a Garden Party format
Anyone know if Govt House gardens are for hire at modest rental???????? or has any theatre lover got a large and beautiful garden, preferably complete with amphitheatre?
PS. The originator of a 'new idea' suggested a cabaret style evening.

I hate to disappoint you but the record number of votes in the recent poll are a result of my inadvertantly disabling a check to see whether someone was visiting twice. The result is that any single individual has been able to stack the votes by repeatedly voting for their favourite result.
I guess the poll may not be altogether wasted. You might draw the conclusion that the person/s that doggedly persisted in voting over and over again 113 times for a garden party must be very keen ;)
I'll fix the polling system before putting up a new poll. I've got one other poll suggestion from Norma waiting in the wings - any other suggestions?
Cheers
Grant
