Nugent - same old, same old

Some time back Katharine Brisbane was quoted in The West as saying that our professional performing arts industry had lost its way because it had lost touch with its roots - in community theatre.
Does the Nugent report turn things around? No, it blithely charges on down the same disastrous path we've been on for the last few years.
To paraphrase: our state arts companies are too small, we need bigger companies for better economies of scale.
Makes you despair, doesn't it?
