I don't know if this is the type of 'Gossip'that should be pegged on the line! If not I am sure someone will advise me what to do with it?We have a problem in Upper Lower Outer Man- dur - ha!The Committee, of "the about to close the door unless some one builds us 4 walls and a roof", soon to be known as "the 142nd fastest gun in the West", has shot their foot again.They do have to learn to do it properly, draw it out and then pull the trigger.They have a rule about poaching actors and others, from under their roof, that no "hawkers allowed". So much so, that this is STATED WITHOUT PREJUDICE, they are trying for the second time to remove membership from a member, for allegedly doing just that, along with two other charges of similar trivia pursuit type offences. The first time was aborted, at an extraordinary general meeting that was called to do so, as being unconstitutional. Anyway thats not what I wished to point out.In their latest Newsletter, which arrived today, states " To all the members involved with outside productions outside M.L.T. we hope your shows go well and remember to keep your eyes open for new members for us and new ideas to put to use"Now maybe Im as thick as two short bits, but I have become unsure "what they are about", I doubt it would be the situation of one rule for the Committee another for everyone else? However this makes one think, as I have been with them for almost a year, during which we have not had one General Meeting only Extraordinary ones - usually forced upon them because of some crisis or other - I have asked the stupid question and was advised, as no one usually turned up why bother? or words to that effect.
