And don't suggest looking through the library collection. What really wouldlike is recommendations. As I have missed the entries for this year, Iwould like opinions on 1 act plays that people have done, seen, etc.I'm not looking for something simple. What I really like to do is somethingwith about 4 to 8 cast members ranging from comedy to critty drama (butknowing me I'll end up doing a comedy!) but a few ideas about plays thatothers know would be useful. Obviously I can't go through a read all thepossible plays around. I wish I had that many hours in the day left over.RegardsJeffrey Watkins.COME SEE CALAMITY JANE AT MARLOO!It has everything, Tomboys, Bargirls, Cowboys, Guns, Singing, Drag, Bad andGood acting (I mean acting bad;-)), Romance, Angry men, and even a bit ofBlood! I think there's a kitchen sink in there somewhere too.

JeffOnes I have had a great time with, is 'Down came a Jumbuck' & 'The Boat' the first is send up, the latter I have found to be a comedy cum drama - others who have done it, can't seem to se the humour? - only DDrraaammMA.Joe McCabe> And don't suggest looking through the library collection. Re: Recommend a solid 1 actor

Hey there,Pinter is always a solid choice, drama and dark, dark comedy. Check out 'The Homecoming' and 'The Birthday Party'. Also very high up on my list at the moment is Sam Shephard's work though this can be heavy at times - very interesting but heavy. At the moment I am directing Angel City, one of his earlier plays. It's incredible - highly original, highly strange, yet undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and mesmerising concepts that you will ever encounter. I strongly recommend this.Very briefly, look at some of Edward Albee's work (The Zoo Story, The American Dream). This is great, great material.Good LuckDan the Man in the UK...*s*...
