community theatre prices too cheap?
Mon, 10 May 1999, 09:19 amWe (Melville) have not altered our prices since 1995 and I think it's time we did. (This is purely a personal opinion and not necessarily that of my committee!)It's better to prices up a little at a time than wait for years then make a giant hike.We are very concious that many of our audience are in the 'not very well off'bracket and we do try to keep things affordable. Personally (again) I think $12 & $10 is about right. We give extra concessions to members and groups. As to professional shows, regretfully I've decided that they are simply too wxpensive for me to go to except very occasionally. It's my problem but I don't think I'm alone?
