An Idea (?)

Dear Grant and other people of the ITA website and ITA in generalI am just surfing the net and I thought that I'd post this silly idea I had, and see if anyone else thinks it may be worth while...I am currently planning what shows I would like to direct next year (note the 's' after show...I really AM thinking of doing more then one!!!) and I was wondering if it might be a good idea for clubs to use this website as a point of reference for when they call for the next year's submissions, and their choices of genre that each club would prefer. This way one could check up to see when the deadlines for submissions are, and if one's planned show would be a good idea for submission in thr first place.Sound silly?CheersAdam Webb

Hi Adam,Sounds like a great idea.Many clubs only advertise amongst their members for directors, but for those seeking to broaden their outlook with directors from "outside" it would be well worth their while to post their notices here. Certainly if i see any notices in the ITA Link i will reproduce them here.Of course it never hurts for directors to advertise their availability here either! i'd suggest that spamming the message boards every few weeks is not a good way of drawing attention to your directorial skills tho :)However, do consider putting up a page somewhere on the web with a cv and a few photos and place a link to it on the Theatre Links page of this site.*gratuitous plug*If anyone wants some help putting up a page, i'm seriously considering setting up a small service as a sideline.*/gratuitous plug*CheersGrant

EMAILNOTICES>noI've been having a few thoughts on things that could be done.Kimberly Shaw has often mentioned lacking information from many clubs(maybe they don't check the site that often.) I'm sure that the clubs haveso much to do already that this small detail would get missed.I was considering contacting the clubs and offering to be a go-betweenfor them passing things like yearly show seasons and audition informationonto both Kimberly and ITA Web. I s'pose I could also cover the requestfor directors as well.I'm going to have to see if I will be able to do it of course, but opinions?
