I've not said anything on the awards for over a fortnight and I've been busting to respond to a couple of things.so...I thought David Crewes' January editorial in the ITA Link made an interesting admission. David somewhat facetiously asked what brilliant marking system could decide 21st place. I can't help wondering how it decides 1st any better?Barry Lucas in the Feb issue of the link has a gentle dig at the publishing of a person's opinion in the previous Link. "Publishing any one person's opinions of who should have won or lost serves no purpose whatsoever." I have to ask what purpose is served by publishing the opinions of three people - as is the case with the awards.I keep harping on this issue well aware that publishing my opinions will hardly serve my purpose of changing the awards. But as Norma so sagely observed a few weeks ago, this kind of debate guards against complacency and stagnation - as if there were much likelihood of that!CheersGrant
