Boardwalk Youth Theatre

Hi AllThe following is reproduced with permission from an email received I received from BYTC:The Boardwalk Youth Theatre Co. is based at the Mandurah Performing ArtsCentre. Which is a newly built centre featuring an 800 seater theatre; a144 seater theatre; an art gallery; various conference and rehearsalrooms; a box office; bar facilities and a professional staff to man it.All hiring costs are very reasonable and even more reasonable for theirresident Youth Theatre Co. i.e : BYTC and other non-professional groups.The co. has been "in action" for almost a year which is definitelyembryonic stages! We are still trying to create a format which workswell for both youth & committee.... will we manage to do whatgenerations have been trying for centuries - to bridge the generationgap? However, as co-ordinator I have a very free rein with great supportfrom the committee. To cut a long story short we would like to put out arather last minute call for interested directors to contact me on theemail below or supplied ph. number. We have access to a very largenumber of youth aged from 12 - 20 (age group expandable) who havevarying levels of theatrical experience and mostly a nice bunch ofpeople. Suffering from the usual factor of time I feel that I can notdo all that is required of me as well as create workshops that the youthcan really get their teeth into. Basically I am crying out for anydirectors that may want to work with the group on small cast and/orlarge cast performances. We do have funding available but obviously thatwould need to be discussed on a personal basis. Here is your chance as adirector to work in air-conditioned facilities; professional permanentlyset-up equipment; and a very willing cast & staff; with at leasttravelling costs reimbursed!!
