Vale Marloo's Gus
Wed, 15 Mar 2006, 01:11 pmIt is with great sadness that we announce that Gus, Marloo Theatre's owner cat, died several days ago. He was 19 or 20 years old and adopted Marloo as his home many years ago. Recently he had not been in the best of health and spent several days in hospital after Christmas, but was very glad to return home.
He will be sadly missed by his whole Marloo family and his many friends who visited him in his theatre while attending shows. Gus greeted all his new friends in his foyer and trod the boards at Marloo in many Darlington Theatre Player's productions, often to the great entertainment of his friends in the audience.

We are both very sad to hear that Gus has passed away, but hey, what a cat.
I can never forget the moment he walked on stage while the death szene was on in the King and I 11 years ago. That was David Burton's (the diretor) main concern that this wouldn't happend, but it did and it still makes me laugh. Or what about the tap rehearsal? He would lie in front of the stage while 20 dancers rehearse their tap routine. He was a very clever cat!
RIP you will always be in our hearts.
