hi perth actors,
was just wondering if any of you guys have ever done a frog management screen class over the years. is it good? and what percentage of the class actually gets picked up for representation by them at the completion of the classes?

This doesn't mean however that the classes are not beneficial if you haven't had much in the way of screen acting experience.

Before I did this course and a couple of others I had a huge tendency to act like I was on-stage with projection and most other skills that are not appropriate to screen. And since I have been working on a televsions series, that training was certainly beneficial - otherwise you'd have to turn down the TV everytime I spoke (you probably want to anyway;) like you do with the adverts.

By all means contact Frog and see if they will represent you, but just because they won't nor if they will or won't because you do their course - courses are GENERALLY designed to enhance your skills and educate you and if it is something you want to follow, then every little bit helps. Thats not to say jump into every course you can find, but at least entertain the idea and do some research into which courses may be better suited to you for what you will learn and the qualifications of the co-ordinators.

(There are a lot of courses run by people that have questionable experience and qualifications so always do your research)

In other words, do a course because of its merits, its chance to help you as an actor not because you want representation or anything else out of you. You are an actor and the better you hone your skills the more likely you will be picked up by an agent.
