VCA and NIDA's directing course
Wed, 21 Dec 2005, 10:06 pmhey everyone I'm in the middle of my arts degree doing theatre at Melbourne Uni and I'm interested in VCA and NIDA's directing course, done a decent amount of directing of student shows and looking into placements over the summer can anyone shed a little light onto these directing courses:
how many people apply (I'd guess fewer than for the acting course)
how many do they take (probably less than ten right?)
what sorta people get in (I know you're gonna say all kinds but lets be honest a large chunk will come from a certain type of experience)
what sorta things should I be doing in the next year or two to improve my chances?
or even better yet anyone here gone through the process and could tell me what it's like?
cheers
