> Has the date for the finley presentations been announced yet?Sunday 13 December was nominated asa the date in the last Link newsletter.The venue is due to change too. Apparently the event will take place in the Regal!Can Norma or someone confirm these details?CheersGrant

Am looking forward to the Finley Awards night.The Regal should be a good venue.

Confirmed that the date for the Finley Award Presentation Night is Sunday December 13th at the Regal Theatre, Subiaco.This is a new venture for the ITA so we are relying on LOTS of support from all clubs to make the evening a success.There are 1000 + seats in the Regal so we need you all to round up family, friends, enemies, anyone at all to come and fill the place!Tickets are $12 and booking forms will go out in early November to all clubs.We have this week sent out a flyer and some preliminary information.Norma Davis (Secretary)

> how does the committee decide what acts will perform at the finleys.> i've always wondered.> sharon>The acts for the entertainment section of the Finley Award Night are decided by the Adjudicators in conjunction with the C0-0rdinators of the event. The acts are chosen from among the productions presented during the year. The acts are chosen with a view to making an enjoyable and fairly relaxed evening of it and to this end possibly a larger number of musicals excerpts are featured. sometimes a very good play does not have a section which can stand alone as a 10 minute spot. Likewise casts may not be available for a variety of reasons or the director may not wish to participate ( Yes it does happen!) We do try VERY hard to please as many people as possible but inevitably there are occasionaly some disappointments.Hope this explains things to all interested folk out there.Norma Davis.
