New Poll: What's Your Day Job?
Fri, 23 Sept 2005, 01:01 amNew poll topic, chosen at random from the large and messy list of submissions I have neglected to sort through properly....
In what area of occupation do you usually work?
Probably won't keep this one up too long, as it's basically the same as the past poll titled 'Otherwise Occupied'. ( http://www.theatre.asn.au/pollresponse.php3 )
It may be interesting to compare if anything's changed since Dec '03...

Re: New Poll: What's Your Day Job?
...and for those few of us who perform a lot of their theatre during the day, treat the poll as if to say 'What's your night job?'....
Oh, hang on....that's theatre as well....
Cheers,

Re: New Poll: What's Your Day Job?
Not fair... I had to check three different sections - arts, technology, and admin (as I work part time at Arts Hub, which covers all three, plus working on theatre-related projects on my days off)!

Ah....if I'm allowed to tick more then one, then as well as "Theatre" I should also check "Work? What's that..?"

Poll Result: What's Your Day Job?
Poll Result:
While theatre is our passion, most of us would have a full or part time job to earn money. In what area do you work in?
288 participants in 3 weeks
Arts/theatre/entertainment 63 19%
Student 51 15%
Government 51 15%
Clerical/administration 29 9%
Healthcare 24 7%
Science & Technology 24 7%
Retail/sales 24 7%
Hospitality/travel 18 5%
Education 14 4%
Advertising/promotion 14 4%
Work? WhatÂ’s that... 6 1%
Tradesman/labourer/factory work 2 0%
Late changes to the poll mean that some results may not be entirely accurate....tradesmen scored very few votes. Education however, was also a late addition and scored a bit higher. Plenty of us already work in the arts, and many are students.

Oh, sorry. Maybe you were talking about Namibian dollars...in which case you're being underpaid. And don't be so self-disparaging when you sign your posts. Craig
