Anthem For Doomed Youth
Sun, 17 Apr 2005, 12:05 pmHi everyone
Just wanted to say that I had the pleasure and privilege of seeing Yellow Glass Production "Anthem for Doomed Youth" last night. The four male performers were all fantastic, and the music was just inspiring. A wonderful production and it was a delight to see that it played to a sold out audience.
The one thing I did want to say was that Simon Holt is probably about to become a household name around this country if not much further afield. The music he has composed for the poem "Flanders Fields" is so beautiful and so moving that I have no doubt it is going to make him a very very rich man.
My congratulations to all involved in this production and I truly believe that you are all about to hear a lot more about Simon Holt very soon. Watch out for this song, to quote a beautiful publicity line from The Princess Bride "if this doesn't move you, you're legally dead".
