Tue, 8 Sept 1998, 03:57 pmThe final programme for the 1998 State Drama Festival is out!Nineteen clubs will present twenty-two plays over the long weekend, September 25-27th at the Harbour Theatre Auditorium, Princess May Theatre, Fremantle.There will be four locally written plays, Amanda Crewes play "Harold' will kick-start the Festival on Friday evening, to be followed by another locally written play, "Tempting Eve" by Peter Kirkwood.Dr. Carmen Lawrence will open the proceedings.Clancy's Pub is next door and a better place to unwind it would be hard to find!Saturday morning starts with the 1998 innovation the Youth Festival. Three companies, Roleystone, Melville and the new Boardwalk Youth Theatre from Mandurah will show what their younger members can do.Alison Farmer and Grant Malcolm are the Adjudicators so come and show your interest and support for community theatre.Your club has tickets for the session in which your club has a play, otherwise Fremantle Ed. centre is taking bookings on 9335-5444 (office hours) or just turn up at the door.Tickets: $10 & $8 a session.To see a veritable feast of theatre season tickets are available for $45 & $40 and for this you can watch all twent-two plays!It's long weekend so Monday you can recover!!!!!!
