Andy Fraser meets the Red Chair
Wed, 23 Feb 2005, 12:18 pmThe Red Chair Theatre Co. will be holding a series of Theatre Workshops for Adults commencing Wednesday 2nd March. This 6 week intensive course is designed for those who have previously participated in theatre workshops or who have some theatre/acting experience.
As an exciting extension to our workshops, Andy Fraser, professional stage combat teacher and actor, will be taking 2 of the workshop sessions.
In addition to the stage combat skills, the workshops will explore approaches to script, development of characterisation, preparation of monologue and other performance pieces and development of the physical aspects of the actor (breath, vocal diversity, mime and movement).
This series of workshops are a precursor to the 9 week performance course which will take place in Term 2. The performance course will culminate in 1-2 short plays that will be written specifically for the students and building upon the skills developed in Term 1.
Workshops will be held every Wednesday night from 7-9pm at our Carine venue.
