Bad, sad news. Another link of the unbroken chain gone.

However, as opposed to wallowing in the sadness of it all, let us celebrate/commemorate the work he gave the world in his near-90-years on the planet.

Well done, Artie- a rest well-deserved.

Re: Arthur Miller: Would clubs consider doing some of his plays

Too right, El!

I, for one, would love to see a few Miller plays being produced by clubs next year in commemoration... how about it, committees/directors?

Re: Arthur Miller: Would clubs consider doing some of his plays

Hey Jason.
Shoestring Theatre Company/Thespians Inc is currently in rehearsal for Arthur Miller's "The Crucible". We were actually rehearsing the day he passed, which put a bit of chill up the cast. If anyone is interested, you can visit our website www.shoestringtheatrecompany.com for all the details or where and when this show is going on. I hope this does not come across as capitalising on the death of the great man by promoting our show, but i feel there will be many around like yourself who will want to view his work and marvel at the sheer brilliance of his writings. I hope we can do him justice.

Re: Arthur Miller: Death Of A Playwrite

I, personally would like to see somebody put on a few of his less known plays. I think we become bomabarded and conned into tying Miller's work into just two pieces these being "Death of a Salesman" and "The Crucible". I've never been fortunate to see his other plays on stage only those two, so how about someone puts on a view from the bridge or my three sons or one of his even later works?

Re: Arthur Miller: Death Of A Playwrite

I could be wrong, but i'm sure It's "All my sons" not "My Three Sons". And i saw a production of it last year by Mordialoc Theatre Company in Victoria and it was fantastic.

Yes, no you're right. Some good person has already pointed it out to me. Just goes to reinforce an earlier point to proof read what you write........ NAH screw that
