Auditions for Wyrd Sisters
Wed, 2 Sept 1998, 12:08 pmFollowing the success of Mort, and Guards! Guards!, Blak Yak Theatre have decided to do another Terry Pratchett play. Wyrd Sisters. It's a play that involves three witches, kings, daggers, crowns, storms, dwarfs, cats, ghosts, spectres, bandits, demons, forests, hairs, jesters, tortures, turntables, general rejoicing and divers alarums. All the ingredients for a damn top play if I don't mind saying so myself! It's Macbeth turned up 'till the knob comes off. The land is in peril from the wicked duke and duchess, and who's there to save it? The three witches: Granny Weatherwax (intolerant, self-opinionated, powerful), Nanny Ogg (down to earth, vulgar) and Magrat Garlick (naive, fond of occult jewelry and bunnies).Auditions are to be held on the 13th of September, at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre. Ring Daniel Sloan (the director) on 9455-4821 to book for a time, or ask questions.Thanks.
