I'd be interested to hear of anyone's experience of working with Patch Theatre here in WA - I've heard from a couple of people about their experiences and would be interested to know what sort of dealings anyone else has had?

Re: Patch Theatre

Hi there

I did the Patch theatre experience with David Crann and co at that little theatre in vic park, initially as work experience, living and breathing "Patch" for a few weeks.

I subsequently ended up in one of the saturday morning classes, led by of course... David, oh and how! (in a big booming voice now)

Whilst you're curious to know of other peoples experiences, I'd also be interested to know about yours and theirs too.

cheers

nic

Re: Patch Theatre

I have heard a story of girl who was supposedly tied up and left in a box overnight as an "acting experience" plus a few other dodgy things about the place as well; I was wondering if anyone else had come across similar occurences.

Re: Patch Theatre

I did shows with the D prior to the fire in William Street - but I guess that it is too long ago, for your requirements!

Re: Patch Theatre

Hmmm....tied up in a box. Well sounds interesting and I wouldn't be surprised if that were true.

I was involved with them for a while also. I can say that the two men running Patch Theatre certainly put their lives into it.

Looking back it was all a bit too old school though but I have to say that I learnt a few things, good, bad & ugly. I think perhaps though if I wasn't so young and impressionable at the time I probably would have taken another road.

I do know that some people love the experience they have with Patch Theatre, but for me it's one of those 'did I really do that?' memories.

I'd say that you should trust your gut feelings.
