Main problem with the poll seemed to be that some of these titles weren't familiar to many people.
Did The Wild Party get so many votes because there are multiple versions to choose from..?

Well, it would be interesting to see the break up of those 114 votes for Wild Party.

I would hazard to say that most of those votes would be for the Lippa version (Off-Broadway version)

Personally, though, my vote is for the LaChiusa (Broadway version)

I think (from memory) I actually voted for Wicked.
Mainly because I think either of the Wild Partys or Avenue Q could be pulled off by an amateur company with great success, but I want to see Wicked in all of its glory

At least there is now talk of a film of Hairspray
(yet another film of a musical that is based on an earlier film...)
