170 participants in 2 weeks. 321 votes cast (multiple voting)
Wizard Of Oz 66 votes 20%
Sound Of Music 64 votes 19%
Singing In The Rain 48 votes 14%
Chicago 39 votes 12%
My Fair Lady 22 votes 6%
Evita 19 votes 5%
Cabaret 14 votes 4%
Jesus Christ Superstar 12 votes 3%
Chorus Line 12 votes 3%
Thoroughly Modern Millie 9 votes 2%
Guys And Dolls 8 votes 2%
Oklahoma 8 votes 2%
A basic flaw in this poll is that many voters will not have seen all the shows/all the film versions to make a fair comparison.
I imagine a big factor would be whether the original musical was written for film or stage (I think Wizard, Sound, and Singing were all movies BEFORE they were made stage plays....but I could be wrong...Paul??)
