A production of a new drama based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula by The ‘Ocracy
Original Production May 2005, Wollongong at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre
Interstate Touring Production October 2005

PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION
A profit share production. Details of payment (based on Theatrical Performers Award rates) provided on offer of role.

AUDITION NOTICE
Due to the current volume of interest, we are taking applications for auditions only at this time.
Successful applicants will be offered an audition. Auditions will be on 4 December 2004.

DETAILS...
The original production (a world premiere production) will be staged in Wollongong in May 2005.
Rehearsals will be conducted in the three weeks leading up to the opening.
Successful cast may be retained for the Interstate Tour scheduled for October 2005.
Auditionees are advised that an Eligibility List is being created from auditions and will be used in the event of recasting (for the tour).
Experienced and commencing actors are encouraged to apply.

Three male and one female roles available.
Applicants will need to be aged 18 years by April 2005.

The following Principal Roles only are available:
DRACULA: male aged 25-35, sophisticated, commanding and dark.
HARKER: male aged 20-30, young, energetic and naïve, but with a darker side.
RENFIELD: male aged 20-30, an Oscar Wilde type – mad but magnificent.
MINA: female aged 20-30, intelligent, strong stage presence, forceful yet graceful. Dracula's opposite.

i try to be positive about musicals cos i love them, but i have to agree, this show was ridiculous. sorry, but i can't believe i paid that much and sat through the entire thing while the theatre emptied around me. most people didn't bother to come back after interval. i don't blame them. sorry. but urgh.
