An intriguing theory there Luke, and I'd be pretty interested to hear how you figured that one out...?
Just did a quick search of all posts made by drama_queen, and it appears she has responded to something I've written exactly TWICE. There was also one time when we both posted under the same thread (and had conflicting opinions), and one other time she happened to post directly under me but was not referring to anything I'd said.
If your extensive research continues to include reading the 16 other posts she's written, there is an underwhelming sense of dissimilarity in our writing styles.
As far as subject matter, 13 of drama_queen's posts either object to young people posting fairly pointless and pathetic pleas to be given acting work; or object to the torrent of abuse some of these same young people subjected us all to when it was pointed out to them they were going about things the wrong way....both being points of view I happen to share.
But if that's the evidence you're basing your conclusion on, you'd probably have to also conclude that I am about 200 other regular visitors to this site who share the same view!
I don't need to assume any pseudonyms...I'm already posting far too much under my own name!
Cheers
Craig
PS Who's to say that YOU and I aren't the same person? We both claim to be performing in children's plays at the Subiaco Theatre Centre, 11am and 1pm throughout the school holidays...

Re: crgwllms: drama king
A pidgeon is a similar variety, but it is one that has mated with a typo!!
I doubt that you and I are the same person, and it is highly possible that we are both in shows at the STC, because I am performing in the Studio Theatre, but there is another show on at the same time, as you would no doubt know, in the Auditorium.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Luke. I wondered why I had made that comment. :-)
I'm still playing the king in 'His Majesty's New Clothes' (recently had our 100th performance with this cast)...although come to think of it, the king IS a bit of a drama queen, so maybe that's where you got your premise in the first place.
And it's probably better to continue calling it the Subiaco Theatre Centre. It never gets called the STC, because those initials are widely acknowledged to stand for the Sydney Theatre Company.
How are your gumnuts?
Cheers,
Craig

When I see TS Eliot's poetry performed to music onstage I wonder what the hell was Lloyd-Webber thinking?

Re: crgwllms: his majesty
Actually Craig, I beg to differ.
I was standing in the lobby, waiting to speak to one of the two people behind the desk, and the other lady, answered the phone as follows "Hello STC, how may I help you?"
Luke.
PS. The emporor's new clothes looks good. How much are the tickets, when does the season finish, and do we have to book thru BOCS??

First time I've ever heard that, in about 20 years of hanging around and in this theatre. It was called "The Hole" when the Hole In The Wall Theatre resided here, and sometimes "Black Swan" when that company was based here. But throughout that time it has also been recognised as the 'Subiaco Theatre Centre'...even when the State Theatre Company of WA had it for the few several years they existed, they avoided calling it STC for the same reason, even though they had two ways to make the initials fit!
However, I'll take your word for it. Maybe they're starting a new trend? But I think perhaps the BOCS receptionists ought to be less ambiguous - one of our performances was held up for almost 20 minutes last week, because a busload of patrons with booked tickets turned up at the Regal Theatre by mistake..! (not a good way to start a show that's only 50min long!)

The official public season finished today! Tickets were $9.90, booked through BOCS or paid at the Subi Theatre Centre. Bookings were advisable because almost half the performances sold out to capacity, and I know people who were turned away. (Not today though, only half full on a football day!). Now the school holidays are over we're still at Subi for another week with school groups attending - call Barking Gecko to see if they are still selling tickets - and then two more weeks of touring schools in the Perth metro area.
