Show cancelled - so I'm finding Nemo.
Thu, 11 Sept 2003, 10:52 amHi folks. Been a while since I've logged on, busy on a NT/QLD tour which has been generally successful. But for reasons unbeknownst, the organisers at the Cairns Festival did not generate any bookings for us, so while they still bought the show....our performances here were unfortunately cancelled.
I'm obviously rather devastated to be spending four days in Cairns with nothing to do, so I'm off to drown my sorrows (figuratively) on a dive boat over the Great Barrier Reef.
Hope everythings going well....sorry I won't get to see Noises Off, it sounds terrific.
Cheers,
Craig

You are quite right. It must seem remiss of me.
However, it has been some considerable time since I visited the distance shores of far north Queensland, besides, I have always been a touch nervous about returning, as the Queensland constabulary once upon a time, took exception to my riding with a small well intentioned group of fellow bike riders and acting as a spokesperson, whenever we were pulled up by the Chrysler Valiants of the boys in blue. They eventually escorted me and my bike to the border and were quite insistent that I didnÂ’t return.
But I digress. I simply cannot recall any wineries around the far north, although I do remember a tea plantation (Nerada I think?) and, no doubt due to the lack of wineries, a substitute that looked very similar to tea, but was sold in cheap looking small plastic bags, for a very exorbitant $5.00 per bag.
Speaking of relaxation and fun, I shall come to the play this week.
All Good Things
