Pretty simple topic submitted this week...

What age bracket do you fall in as a theatre-going audience member (and visitor of this site).

It'd be best if the age groups were 13-18, 19-25, 26-..... rather than 13-18, 18-25, 25-....., because the way it is means that borderliners like myself need to decide where to put ourselves. :-S

Well spotted. I've hacked in and changed the poll accordingly. Sorry if that has put current votes out of whack, I'm sure it won't be devastating.

Have just looked at the latest figures for the latest poll. Judging by the (apparant) results so far hardly anyone over the age of 60+ goes to the theatre! As everyone in community theatre knows a large percent of our audience is composed of "seniors"!!

I'd say the results have more to do with the age of those accessing this site?

Quite right, Norma, hence my appending "..(and visitor of this site)" when I activated and announced this suggestion.

Interesting though, to see the number of 'over 76' seniors who are accessing this website.

Age demographics poll of this website was up for a fortnight, and received 367 responses.

According to the poll:

22% (82 votes) are aged between 19-25
22% (81 votes) are aged between 13-18
17% (62 votes) are aged 13 and under
13% (48 votes) are aged between 26-35
9% (35 votes) are aged between 36-45
6% (24 votes) are aged between 46-55
3% (12 votes) are aged between 66-75
3% (11 votes) are aged 76 and over
2% (9 votes) are aged between 56-65

It ought to be noted that over a single evening, the votes in the "under 13" category jumped from about 5 to over 40....so either a whole classroom logged on at once, or one 13-year-old was having a bit of fun that night....


Results are therefore a rough guide only and their accuracy cannot be guaranteed!
