Big Hoo Haa amazing event - thanks
Sun, 15 June 2003, 02:05 amThanks to all who came and supported the Big HOO HAA anniversary special on Friday night - we were overwhelmed by the numbers that attended...a big shame for those who were turned away at the door, but we literally were breaking venue management rules of over-crowding: all the extra seating taken, all standing room spaces full, people squashed down the front on the floor, even a few jammed in behind me in the corner against the piano!
Damon Lockwood was a fantastic MC/referee, the teams were pretty fired up by the "stadium rock concert" atmosphere, and the comedy was colossal...the "Roses" team took the Horse's Ass trophy, but really there weren't any losers, and the audience were the big winners.
It doesn't stop there - we'll kick off our second year with another Hoo Haa this Friday night; see "What's On" for details.

PS. SORRY I didn't get to 'Six Characters' tonight like I intended to...after getting home at 5am from the HooHaa party and then attending Stephen Lee's method class at 10am with a bit of a hangover, I got home at 3 and took a 'nap' ...which lasted until midnight! Should've set an alarm. Hope it finished well.
